CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Board of Career and Technical Education (SBCTE) and Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will meet in-person on November 15, 2023 in Casper, Wyoming.
The board will initially convene at 8:30 a.m. as the SBCTE for a tour of the Pathway Innovation Center (PIC) located at 3000 Independence Ct, Casper Wyoming. Following the tour of Career and Technical Education programs at PIC, the board will continue its meeting at the University of Wyoming at Casper campus at 125 College Drive #163 Room UU322. The board will receive information on feedback from the Perkins V public listening sessions, as well as recommendations from the Superintendent’s CTE Subcabinet on revisions to the Wyoming Perkins V State Plan.
Following adjournment of the SBCTE meeting, the board will reconvene as the SBE to take action on a charter school waiver request from Fremont County School District #38 for Arapahoe Charter School to serve students in grades 9-12. The board will also hold discussion and take public comment on current work regarding state standards and revisions to Chapter 10 rules.
All SBE meetings are open to the public. Attendees may join the meeting in-person at the University of Wyoming at Casper campus or virtually by registering in advance here. After registering, participants will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting.
