We will be ethical and do our work with curiosity, creativity, honest dialogue, collaboration, and integrity. We desire an education system that is less burdensome for educators including support for mental wellbeing of staff and students, promotes teacher retention, and enables flexibility.

Our Goals

  • Goal 1: Strengthen collaboration, networking, and communication across stakeholder groups.
  • Goal 2: Complete the Profile of a Graduate toolkit and facilitate schools and communities working together to implement the profile locally.
  • Goal 3: Continue to participate in board development including development related to the role of the Board of Career and Technical Education.
  • Goal 4: Continue to refine and implement the process for the development and review of state standards.
  • Goal 5: Adopt graduation standards. 
  • Goal 6: Finalize the study of the accountability system with recommendations for modifications or changes to the system.
  • Goal 7: Study the components of the district and state assessment systems for alignment to current educational vision of the state and explore federal flexibilities.
  • Goal 8: Develop a process for setting statewide educational goals.
