CHEYENNE  – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will hold a special meeting, virtually, starting at 8:00 a.m. on March 4, 2022 to discuss the evaluation of the Wyoming school accountability system.

The Wyoming Accountability in Education Act was established in 2011 outlining an accountability system under which each school in Wyoming receives an annual performance rating. As provided in statute, the state board has the authority to evaluate the accountability system to ensure the system components remain reliable and fair, that stakeholders receive and use accountability information, and that the system remains as stable as possible. The board plans to discuss options for issuing a request for proposal to evaluate the current school accountability system.

Register in advance for the virtual meeting here. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Materials for board meetings are available on BoardDocs. Previous meetings’ minutes and materials may be viewed through the board’s website. Follow the SBE  on Facebook and Twitter.
