CHEYENNE  – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will consider approval of consultant services for the Profile of a Graduate Phase II work at its regularly-scheduled virtual meeting starting at 9 a.m. on October 22, 2021.

Evanston High School students, along with Principal Merle Lester, will present on the school’s long-standing Senior Capstone project as part of the board’s continued Profile of a Graduate conversation – as it continues to look at innovative practices in schools across Wyoming.

The board will receive an annual report on Wyoming Charter Schools, as well as an update on state standards currently under review. The standards update includes content for Health and Physical Education and performance standards in the areas of Math, Science, Fine Arts, and Performing Arts.

Chapter 47 Accountability will be presented for discussion, with anticipated action for rule promulgation at the SBE’s November meeting. Also, school leader evaluation systems from four districts and 19 submitted teacher evaluation systems will be discussed.
