CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Board of Career and Technical Education (SBCTE) and Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will meet in-person on November 20 in Casper, Wyoming.

The board will initially convene at 9 a.m. as the SBCTE for a presentation on the statewide Wyoming Agriculture in the Classroom program. Following the presentation, the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) will provide updates to the SBCTE on the Perkins V Plan and CTE programming.

Upon adjournment of the SBCTE meeting, the board will reconvene as the SBE to take action to open informal public comment on Math and Science Extended Standards and K-12 World Language Standards. The board will also consider approval of SBE policies under first reading.

The WDE will provide the SBE with information on the recently released assessment and accountability determinations as well as assistance being provided to schools through the Statewide System of Support. The board will also continue its discussion from last month on graduation standards and the implementation of newly adopted state standards in six content areas.

All SBE meetings are open to the public. Attendees may join the meeting in-person in room UU315 at the University of Wyoming at Casper Campus or virtually by registering in advance. After registering, participants will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting.
