SBE TO CONVENE IN NEWCASTLE FOR ANNUAL RETREAT

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will meet in-person to hold its annual retreat and June meeting starting at 8 a.m. on June 20 and June 21.

During the retreat, the board will be provided information on and discuss graduation standards, the state assessment system, and school accountability. The board will conduct a yearly review of accomplishments and identify its direction and goals for 2024-25. Action items for consideration include school accreditation recommendations, board budget approval, and final readings on board policies. Weston County School District #1 will provide a presentation on the educational programs offered by the district.

The SBE retreat will take place at Weston County School District #1, 116 Casper Ave., Newcastle, Wyoming. The public can join virtually and register in advance to attend on June 20 here and June 21 here. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation email with instructions to join the meeting.
