CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Board of Career and Technical Education (SBCTE) and Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will meet at 8:30 a.m. on February 15 in Cheyenne.
The board will convene as the SBCTE with special guest Governor Mark Gordon, followed by the Wyoming School Board Association, and student presentations on the Ignite Wyoming initiative. The SBCTE will also hear from representatives of the UW College of Education on efforts to recruit future CTE teachers. Finally, public comments received on the proposed revisions to the state’s Perkins V Plan will be presented to the board.
The SBE will then convene to receive an update by WDE leadership on the implementation of statute and department rules on literacy, and charter school end-of-year reporting.
All SBE meetings are open to the public. The meeting will be held at Laramie County Community College, 1400 E. College Drive, in Training Center Rooms 120 and 121. Attendees may join the meeting virtually by registering in advance here. After registering, participants will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting.
