CHEYENNE  – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will meet in person, with a virtual option, at 9 a.m. on November 16, 2022. The meeting will be informational, with no anticipated action items.

Members of the Wyoming Level Up Alumni will present to the board and provide classroom and school level perspectives on current board initiatives. The focus of the discussion for the SBE meeting is the resolution passed at its October 2022 meeting. The intent of the resolution is to reduce the load of state standards to provide time for classroom innovation and meaningful learning experiences, a need heard through both Governor Mark Gordon’s Reimagining and Innovating the Delivery of Education (RIDE) Advisory Group and the SBE’s Profile of a Graduate listening sessions.

All SBE meetings are open to the public. The meeting will be held on the University of Wyoming – Casper Campus, 125 College Drive #163, Room UU322 in Casper. To attend virtually, register in advance here. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Materials for board meetings are available on BoardDocs. Previous meetings’ minutes and materials may be viewed through the board’s website. Follow the SBE  on Facebook and Twitter.
