CHEYENNE  – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will consider approval of Chapter 6 Accreditation rule changes and the proposed WY-TOPP math assessment blueprints at its regularly scheduled virtual meeting starting at 9:00 a.m. on May 26, 2021.

Additionally, the board will consider approval of applications for alternative schedules from six school districts for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 school years, and opening public input on the proposed 2021 health and physical education standards.

Topics slated for discussion include Chapter 22 School Day and Chapter 41 Virtual Education rules. Chapter 22 rules address statutory changes for pupil-teacher contact time to include options outside of the physical classroom and Chapter 41 proposed revisions involve the use of classroom based virtual education. An update and discussion on Wyoming Content and Performance Standards is also on the agenda.
