CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will host a virtual meeting starting at 8 a.m. on March 26 via the online Zoom platform. The board will first convene as the Wyoming State Board of Vocational Education to receive an update on Wyoming’s Perkins V Plan for career and technical education, take public comment, and consider action to approve the plan.

The board will reconvene as the State Board of Education to take action on school district alternative schedule requests and to approve the recommended candidate for the board coordinator position.

The SBE also will hear reports from board coordinator Dr. Thomas Sachse on Facebook and travel reimbursement policies, Stakeholder Engagement Task Force and legislative updates, public comment guidelines, and an update on the request for proposals to study the effectiveness of the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act.

Wyoming Department of Education staff will update the SBE on the Accountability System Rules, and the Science Blueprint.
