CHEYENNE  – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will hold a full-day meeting in Casper beginning at 8 a.m. on May 23, 2019 at the Natrona County School District Building located at 970 North Glenn Road.

The SBE will consider action on proposed Chapter 29 regulations that modify the process for the approval of Teacher Evaluation Systems, in accordance with changes made to the requirements regarding evaluation systems during the 2019 legislative session.

The SBE will discuss Chapter 3 Rules of Practice and Procedure; the board will later go into Executive Session to review the SBE Coordinator performance and contract renewal. The SBE also will receive an update from the Wyoming Department of Education on the District Accreditation pilot year, State System of Support, and districts Alternative Schedules prior to approving the schedules.

The SBE will hear reports from board coordinator Dr. Thomas Sachse on the “Basket of Goods” committee, budget narrative and prioritize potential projects, interim legislative topics, administrative procedures part four, and BoardDoc’s (board management software) training.
