CHEYENNE  – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will hold a teleconference meeting on November 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The SBE will begin by holding a hearing to take action on an appeal by Weston County School District #7 regarding Upton High School’s performance rating.

After the hearing, the SBE will hear reports from state board coordinator Dr. Thomas Sachse on Chapter 31 and accreditation. Wyoming Department of Education staff will also give an update on accreditation. SBE committee chairs will give an update on their committee work and the SBE will hear a summary from the National Association of School Boards of Education annual conference that members from the board attended in Atlanta. The SBE will take also take action on the purchase of new technology devices for board members.
