CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) voted on Thursday to approve accreditation for all 48 Wyoming school districts and 13 institutional schools.

“It’s clear that our Wyoming schools are very dedicated to continually improving,” said SBE Chairman Walt Wilcox. “Districts go through a very detailed process to systematically review what they are doing to earn accreditation and to align with those expectations and standards.”

The accreditation process involves a staffing review, school improvement plan and assurances, external reviews, and system reviews.

The board also approved a motion to designate G4S Youth Services LLC as an approved facility for court ordered placement of students.

The board will next meet via teleconference on July 20, 2017.
